General description

On a four-acre promontory 200 feet above the Caribbean Sea, Les Chaudieres is a delightful, secluded haven for holiday residence.

On three sides, the changing hues of the ocean and dramatic mountain views create a brilliant background for emerald lawns and blazing flowers. Enjoy extraordinary sunsets over the Caribbean Sea as you sip cocktails by the pool.

Amid all this resplendent color, Les Chaudieres has a most peaceful solitude. The villa overlooks St. Lucia Estates, a 500-acre working plantation with its own beach.

The picturesque fishing village of Anse La Raye is a mile away, and Castries, the government, tourist and social center of the island, is 10 miles to the north.

The six-room residence was designed with a fine appreciation of the lifestyle possible on this Caribbean isle.

A large roof overhang dispels the suns brilliance and shelters the open-air living/dining room, a marvelous setting for al fresco entertaining. The main living complex of the home opens completely on three sides.

No walls obstruct the views or the constant cooling soft breezes. The natural wood ceiling soars to a peak 45 feet above.

Tastefully decorated, this entertainment complex of over 990 square feet has distinct living, reading, lounging and dining areas.

Stone steps from the upper terrace lead down to the tile terrace surrounding the large elliptical swimming pool at the tip of the peninsula.

The bedroom wing of the home, including three bedrooms and two baths, extends along a tiled and shaded walkway with sliding glass doors to the bedrooms, each of which have windows on the opposite walls for cross ventilation.

The master bedroom is flanked by a large dressing area and tiled bathroom.

An outdoor shower is secluded in a private garden terrace accessible to all guests. The two other bedrooms share a dressing room and bathroom. All three bedrooms share extraordinary mountain views.

The kitchen is equipped with electric or gas appliances. The caretaker's rooms are on the lower level, along with a workshop, storage room, and laundry facilities.

Les Chaudieres is fully furnished, including linens, robes, dishes, hair dryers and stereo.
